Role:
The Mitigation Manager supports the management team and reports to the Operations Manager. The main function of the Mitigation Manager is to ensure efficient and timely production of front-end services, within budget and to industry standards for mitigation projects. The Mitigation Manager will plan, organize, and control the needs of the mitigation division, oversee staffing requirements, and streamline processes for operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels are supporting business demands.
Complete the certificate of completion and final walk-through with the client upon completion of a mitigation project.
Prepare and/or review all mitigation project estimates prior to insurance company or client review.
Prepare postmortem project reviews of all completed mitigation service work for review with the Operations Manager.
Maintain constant communication with clients via email, text, or phone conversation.
Create and maintain the production schedule for front-end services.
Manage and coordinate on-call schedules.
Secure demo permits where necessary.
Ensure projects are performed with a high level of performance and remain profitable.
Ensure trucks are stocked with the required consumables.
Ensure that company employees and subcontractors are following company policies.
Monitor and schedule orientation and training for new and existing employees in conjunction with health and safety requirements.
Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting project completion to the appropriate person.
Duties:
Create accurate and complete estimates for projects this position manages.
Communicate and negotiate with clients and insurance representatives.
Perform 90-day evaluations of all subordinate crew employees.
Fill responsibilities of unavailable crew leaders, or, if directed by the General Manager, fill in for the Operations Manager or Reconstruction Manager.
Travel to out-of-town destinations for project management.
Perform job site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and budget expectations are being met.
Participate in the on-call rotation as an on-call manager and respond to calls by dispatching production teams.
Establish and facilitate departmental procedures that enhance the production and efficiency of the department, while supporting safety policies and procedures.
Assist crew members on projects of a large or complex nature, including organizing equipment deliveries, staffing, and health and safety.
Audit and review production paperwork for accuracy and completion for compliance.
Perform routine, work-related research.
Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Operate a company-owned motor vehicle safely and courteously.
Use Apple or Android-based phone and/or tablet systems.
Create clear and concise photography and videography.
Solve complex structural drying issues.
Create solutions to resolve fire and smoke damage.
Direct complex water damage and mold remediation projects.
Create plans to safely handle contents, packing, and storage.
Physical Expectations:
Sustain periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and/or kneeling.
Lift and carry 5-40 lbs. unassisted, frequently.
Lift and carry 41+ lbs. assisted, frequently.
Safely climb ladders and work at heights over 5’, frequently.
Able to access and have mobility in tight spaces.
Properly wear a half or full-face respirator while conducting menial tasks.
Education Expectations:
Effectively use Xactimate software. Xactimate Level 1 skills.
Proficient with Windows-based operating systems and included software systems.
Microsoft Office Suite
Project management software
KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):
Water damage estimates completed within 24 hours of project completion.
Project labor cost makes up less than 40% of total revenue.
Equipment use is consistent with IICRC S500 specifications.
Documentation reflects validation of equipment use and duration of project.
No injuries requiring medical attention.
Customer satisfaction is excellent per certificate of completion.
Consumable use matches allowances provided in estimate components page.
