Role:
Manage subcontractors and reconstruction crews, as well as coordination of schedules with client needs and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Fill responsibilities of unavailable subordinates either directly or via subcontractors.
Cover responsibilities of Operations Manager when directed by the General Manager.
Involvement in the interview process of new talent involved in the reconstruction division.
Complete daily communication with client via email or phone conversation.
Meet with and communicate with insurance representatives, building department inspectors, engineers, and others associated with the project.
Obtaining certificate of completions and perform final walk-through with client upon completing project.
Duties:
Prepare and/or review estimates that fall under your divisional supervision.
Create & sell clear change orders to clients.
File for and secure building permits for projects.
Documentation and termination of subordinates.
90-day evaluations of all subordinates.
Select, authorize, and evaluate subcontractors.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and sit for extended amounts of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to safely climb ladders.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Must be able to properly wear a full-face respirator while conducting menial tasks.
Position Requirements:
Must have achieved Level 2 Xactimate training.
Must be familiar with Windows-based operating systems.
Must be familiar with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word.
Will be required to use Email and text messaging.
Must be able to perform routine research.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to operate Apple or Android-based phone and/or tablet systems.
Must have a general understanding of Photography and Videography.
Must have a firm understanding of building science, and residential and commercial building requirements.
Must demonstrate safe operation of related heavy equipment.
Paperwork Requirements:
Daily communication via email or project management software.
Communication to be conducted before leaving the job site, outlining observations.
Executing company Subcontractor Agreement and understanding requirements to be a company vendor.
Change orders and supplemental estimates to the insurer or the client.
Key Performance Indicators:
Project job cost does not to exceed 65%.
Customer satisfaction exceeds 70%.
Project timelines do not exceed projected timeline on the repair contract.
All reconstruction employees meet training requirements for their roles & responsibilities.
The reconstruction portion of project post mortems are completed and turned into general manager within 1 week of completion marked by signed certificate of completion.
