Documenting The Project

Think of restoration projects like a puzzle – you need every piece to see the whole picture. That's why good documentation is so important. Basically, we need to write everything down, even the little things. If someone tells you to do something, write it down. If you make a decision, write it down. This helps everyone remember & understand what happened and why.

We also need to take lots of pictures. Pictures show how the work is going, if it's done well, and if there are any problems. This mix of notes and photos protects everyone involved and helps with things like insurance claims. It's like keeping a diary for the project, so we have a clear record of everything that happened.
